FAQ

COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT APPROVALS

How long does the full approval process take in Dubai?

Typically 2-4 weeks from NOC to approval, depending on the authority and complexity. Simple retail fit-outs in established malls can be faster.

Can you start work before approvals are issued?

No. Legal fit-out work in Dubai cannot begin without proper authority approvals. Starting without permits can result in fines and work stoppage orders.

Do you handle the entire approval process?

Yes. We prepare all drawings to authority standards, submit through the correct portals, manage revisions, and coordinate inspections.

What if my fit-out is in a mall?

Mall fit-outs require additional approval from the mall management on top of Dubai Municipality and Civil Defence. We handle both.

Are approvals different for free zones vs mainland?

Yes. Free zones like DIFC, DMCC, TECOM, and Trakhees jurisdictions have their own approval processes with specific requirements.
